Global Search Hints

Search Hints - If you are browsing and would like to see items in a particular category, such as Paperback Mysteries, or Valentine Postcards, it is best to browse or search by using the individual categories, then refine your search.

You can do a global search (search all categories) by entering only ONE of the following by using the Home Page global search engine:

  • One or more (consecutive) words in the title
  • All or part of the author's last name, e.g., donald, or macd for MacDonald
  • Authors last name followed by a comma, space, author's first name, e.g., MacDonald, John
  • Simple publisher name, e.g., medal, vs. Gold Medal
  • Other distinguishing search item, such as PBO for Paperback Original
  • All or part of the artist's name, e.g., brun for Brundage
  • All or part of the state or town name, e.g., Tex for Texas
  • Other distinguishing search item, such as a particular collecting interest, e.g., pig

If you have searched on the word bat, because you wanted to find all items having to do with bats, then you may also receive results, including items with the word bath, etc. You can refine your search by entering a second criteria, such as Halloween. Then you would receive results for all Halloween postcards with bats in them.

Search engine is not case sensitive.
Do not use parentheses, quotation marks or special characters.
